Benson Stone

Benson Stone needed to expand its retail store that was located on East State Street. There was a desire to consolidate all operations into one location. When the former Rockford Standard Furniture Company Building came up for sale adjacent to their stone business, Benson felt it was an opportunity to expand its facility into the former furniture factory. The purpose of this renovation was to create a regional destination for the sale of fireplaces and its accessories, barbecue equipment as well as deck and patio furniture. Its mainstay business of selling stone, brick and paving products would also be featured in the building.
